Solayer Launches InfiniSVM DevNet To Accelerate Solana-Based dApps

Layer 2 blockchain platform Solayer, developed within the Solana ecosystem, has introduced InfiniSVM, a hardware-accelerated blockchain infrastructure engineered to support extremely high performance. The system is designed to deliver transaction throughput exceeding 1 million transactions per second (TPS), with minimal latency to support the demands of decentralized applications. Currently, Solayer operates at more than 340,000 TPS in its development environment, with ongoing optimizations intended to address existing performance constraints identified during the devnet phase.

InfiniSVM introduces a notable advancement in blockchain architecture by incorporating high-throughput processing, near-instantaneous transaction finality, and compatibility with the Solana virtual machine. This compatibility facilitates a straightforward migration process for projects already built on Solana. In addition, InfiniSVM offers a developer-centric framework that supports familiar tools and infrastructure, aimed at accelerating deployment and innovation within the decentralized application space.

InfiniSVM offers complete compatibility with the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), enabling developers to deploy current Solana-based programs with little to no modifications in code. It supports the continued use of standard Solana development tools and libraries, allowing developers to apply their existing understanding of Solana programming conventions. This integration is intended to simplify the migration process for teams already working within the Solana ecosystem, while also granting them access to the increased performance features available through Solayer’s infrastructure.

Developers Invited To Test InfiniSVM DevNet and Explore Solayer’s Performance-Optimized Architecture

Developers are encouraged to begin testing the network by interacting with the DevNet through the available block explorer. They can configure their local development environments to support deployment workflows and proceed to launch their initial programs on InfiniSVM. In the process, they can gain insights into the specific architectural features and performance optimizations integrated into Solayer’s design.

Solayer functions as a restaking protocol operating on the Solana blockchain, aiming to extend the functional scope of staked SOL tokens while enhancing the operational efficiency of decentralized applications within the Solana ecosystem. The protocol not only maximizes the utility of staked SOL tokens but also contributes to the scalability and efficiency of the network by supporting endogenous AVSs and optimizing resource allocation through its SwQoS mechanism.
