Eleven Labs Introduces 11.ai Voice-First Assistant For Task Management, Research, And Workflow Integration

Company focused on AI audio research and deployment, Eleven Labs introduced 11.ai (alpha), an early-stage voice assistant designed to showcase the potential of its Conversational AI technology.

The 11.ai assistant illustrates how voice-first interfaces, when paired with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), can go beyond conversation to enable actionable responses. While traditional voice assistants have been positioned as transformative tools for human-computer interaction, they often remain limited to providing verbal answers without integrating into actual workflows.

Conventional systems typically lack the ability to conduct research based on user-provided data or interact meaningfully with operational tools. 11.ai aims to address this by directly connecting to commonly used platforms through MCP, enabling users to perform tasks such as daily planning, customer research, project coordination, and team communication using only their voice.

MCP serves as a standardized framework for integrating AI systems with external APIs through a unified protocol. Eleven Labs’ Conversational AI technology now includes native support for MCP, allowing it to interface with platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Gmail, Zapier, and others.

Several prebuilt integrations are currently available. These include Perplexity for live web-based research, Linear for issue tracking and project management, Slack for communication workflows, and Notion for managing tasks and documentation. Additional integrations are being released on an ongoing basis.

For organizations with internal or specialized tools, 11.ai also supports custom MCP servers. This allows teams to connect their own infrastructure to the assistant, extending its functionality and aligning it with specific operational environments.

11.ai Alpha Offers Free Access To Voice-First AI Assistant With Multi-Tool Integration And User Feedback Focus

11.ai is now available as an alpha proof of concept, providing free access during this experimental phase to collect user feedback and showcase the capabilities of voice-first AI assistants. Users can begin by signing up on the 11.ai platform, creating an account, and completing the initial setup. The service offers a choice of over 5,000 voices or the option to create a personalized voice clone. Integration with tools such as Google Calendar, Linear, Slack, Perplexity, and custom MCP servers can be configured to enhance functionality.

Users are encouraged to initiate basic interactions like daily planning or topic research to explore the system’s capabilities. Feedback is being sought on which integrations prove most useful, desired additions to native MCP server support, the overall experience of voice interaction compared to traditional interfaces, and any features that would increase 11.ai’s value in everyday use.

As development progresses based on this input, the platform will expand its range of integrations, refine conversational dynamics, and broaden the scope of actions the assistant can perform. Serving as a proof of concept, 11.ai embodies a vision of natural human-computer dialogue that leads to practical outcomes, aiming to unlock new productivity possibilities through voice-driven workflows.
