Identity and financial network World announced a partnership with American rock band 30 Seconds to Mars aimed at supporting the live concert experience by prioritizing human fans, as AI-driven bots increasingly strain ticketing systems and limit access for real attendees. The collaboration is positioned as an effort to address automated ticket purchasing activity that can displace genuine demand for live events.
Launched in conjunction with the band’s upcoming “A Beautiful Lie vs. This Is War” European tour, selected concerts in the United Kingdom and Germany will include special “Humans Only Tickets” reserved exclusively for verified individuals using World ID. The initiative introduces dedicated ticket allocations intended solely for authenticated human users.
Fans who complete World ID verification are able to access specific ticket inventory through Concert Kit, a system designed to help artists ensure ticket distribution prioritizes real audiences rather than bots or secondary resale networks. Verified users can obtain tickets via world.org/music or through the official 30 Seconds to Mars website. The platform has previously been used during a DJ Pee .Wee performance in San Francisco, where close to 1,000 verified users successfully secured free tickets while over 100,000 automated requests were reportedly blocked.
Each verified World ID ticket purchase includes additional benefits, including “One additional free general admission “Humans Only Ticket” to bring another human” and two exclusive Thirty Seconds to Mars merchandise vouchers that can be redeemed at the venue. In addition, the first verified user registered for each participating show will receive a “Closer to the Edge” VIP Upgrade for themselves and a guest.
Ticket Verification and Fan Access Expansion
The participating “Humans Only Tickets” schedule includes April 12, 2027 in Munich, Germany; April 18, 2027 in Berlin, Germany; April 20, 2027 in Hanover, Germany; April 28, 2027 in London, United Kingdom; and April 29, 2027 in Manchester, United Kingdom.
“Live music is about connection, energy, and shared experience,” said Jared Leto, the group’s frontman, in a written statement. “Fans wait years for these moments, and too often bots get there first. We wanted to work with World to create something that helps protect the fan experience and gives real people a fair shot at being part of it,” he added.
The system, powered by World ID’s proof-of-human technology, integrates with existing ticketing infrastructure through Concert Kit in an effort to reduce automated activity and improve authenticity in ticket distribution.
The process for obtaining “Humans Only Tickets” involves several steps, beginning with downloading the World App to initiate verification, followed by locating an Orb device to complete World ID authentication. Users then unlock a unique access code, which is used during ticket purchase on Ticketmaster to claim the additional ticket benefit, with rewards and vouchers delivered via email after purchase.
The partnership reflects a broader trend within the entertainment sector focused on countering automation-driven distortions in ticketing systems and reinforcing direct access between artists and genuine audiences as AI technologies continue to evolve.
